A Clash of Kings Entry 11

So, because I was stuck at work waiting for fax confirmations until like 11, I did not read much. Only about a chapter and a half :(

I read about Tyrion who is getting the city ready for Stannis's attack. He is trying to build up the wall and get the greek fire or whatever ready. He is also burning down this shanty town that has been set up near the wall, which i think is a bad idea. It may be good for the defenses, but what he isn't thinking is that when the people hate you they will help the enemy. As it is he is constantly arresting "traitors." Basically Stannis is gonna come and they're gonna throw open the doors and guillotine his dwarf ass! Also I still haven't learned what this giant chain is. What's the deal with that. Tyrion sends out some of his mountain folk to do night raids against Stannis and is missing them. He has learned about Greyjoy's taking of Winterfell which he thinks is good for the Lannisters (b/c Robb may have to turn north to retake it) but he is kind of sad from his memories there.
CB Note: Tyrion certainly seems to have a bunch of plans for this upcoming war, a lot of tricks up his sleeves. Too bad he gets no respect! Also...I wonder why the spells for making wildfire are working so much better these days.....

Next Theon is woken up by the mysterious absence of wolf howling. Something is wrong and he goes and Bran and Rickon are gone with Asha and Hodor and the two frog eating folk. Ruh roh. I had to stop here but I fear this may lead to the greendream coming true where Bran and Rickon are killed by Reek or whatever. I am hoping it is something symbolic like in the other greendream and they don't actually die!

RK Note: Symbolic Bran and Rickon were killed by Reek, luckily, not the real ones!! Phew!!! Those Greendreams sure are open to interpretation!
