1:00 - oh how harsh, we have to watch him die again :( alas, you cruel cruel world...

2:00 - i thought that was desmond who hit jack. it sounded like desmond. cb nuts it was charles.
CB Note: Desmond in 1977? Oh babe!

3:00 - how'd those boats get in that bottle? i dont understand.

4:00 - how'd john get a boar? i dont remember what happened when he left the beach after returning. did he just roll?
CB Note: Last we saw Locke, he, Sun and Ben were headed towards the beach, but stopped at the Temple first so that Ben could be judged.

5:00 - whats different about him, richard? locke whats your purpose? i dont understand!
CB Note: He's different because he's DIED. The island brought him back to life and now he has a greater sense of meaning and is in tune with the island even more than before!
RK Note: See I think the island may NOT have brought him back to life-- remember, "Dead is Dead." Christian Shepard came to the Island on Oceanic in a coffin, and once on the Island, has appeared to people all over the place as an all-knowing sort of Island ghost who provides guidance, presumably from the Island. So John Locke ALSO came to the Island in a coffin... So is he also like a Christian Shepard-type Island guide who is not REALLY the John Locke who walked the earth while alive, but a very different entity who is an imbodiment of the Island itself? Chew on that. I think something similar has happened to Claire.

Richard watched them all die!!! they're gonna die in the past unless they change it new-faraday style!
RK Note: THIS blew my mind. Because if they ALL die for real, and it happens, WTF, how can so many beloved Lost characters all perish at once-- what is this, 24?! But if they DON'T die, but in the past Richard Alpert saw them die, then they CAN change time and it means Daniel's plan (in Jack's hands to execute) does work and the past changes so the future changes and so the plane never crashes etc etc etc, which makes no sense and negates the show and I refuse to believe and I think the past CAN'T be changed and this Jughead plan is destined for failure and may even be the CAUSE of the big explosion that necessitates the Hatch. SO, better answer to this, is that Richard Alpert THOUGHT everyone died that day, but really somehow the Losties we know and love escape it, through some sort of awesome time-traveling flash that puts them back in 2007 with Sun and Locke, or just by being somewhere else (like how Kate is in the sub with Sawyer and Juliet, and as much as I hope it gets off the island, I'm kinda feeling like there's no way that's happening).

8:00 - cb (calmly) after that big reveal: "spoiler alert." me: "huh?" cb: "they're gonna all die"

9:00 - do they die in the failed attempt to blow up the hydrogen bomb? tbh, if LOST doesn't wanna flake out and change its time travel theories, i think richard's gotta watch them die!
CB Note: He's certainly going to have to see something. We'll see how Lost works it out! I'm thinking that maybe they do do something with the hydro bomb, but it doesn't change the past, perhaps whatever Locke does with Jacob is what brings them back...I'm confused by all the possibilities.
RK Note: there are SO many possibilities, but I still believe the past can't be changed, and they don't all die. Also, Richard Alpert could have lied or bluffed or been mistaken about what he thought he saw in the past.

10:00 - tho i guess they could be revived by the monster/statue/temple like young ben was.
RK Note: So many possibilities! Why didn't they even TRY to revive Dan Faraday that way?

11:00 - oh dharma. you should sue somebody for building your houses on that nuclear waste site!
CB Note: Guess it's not in the shadow of the statue like some said!
RK Note: That was a big RK Raisin!! Maybe something under the shadow of the statue LEADS to these underground tunnels? I want to know how much of the Island this awesome network of underground tunnels spans and where all the exits and entrances are! That swimming under the water to get inside the tunnel was SO something out of Mario Brothers, by the way.

12:00 - sawyers sure in a bad way. i bet he gets saved tho.

13:00 - btw eloise confirmed faraday spoke to her in the 1950s, just like we always thought! gj us!
CB Note: Yea but we knew this already.
RK Note: Uh, duh

14:00 - we both totally nutted that phil was gonna torture juliet to make sawyer talk. thats Torturer 101.
CB Note: And Phil is totally a little d-bag to do it.
RK Note: This episode is like 24!

15:00 - wheres hurley at? why cant they track him down?

16:00 - oh here hurley is. stealing food...

17:00 - whys dr chang seem to be following hurley?

18:00 - lol at the dr chang v hurley history test. great dialogue.
CB Note: HIIIIIIIIIIIILARIOUS.
RK Note: Hurley has had the best dialogue of any character this season. This history test thing was hilarious. I love that Dr Chang believes them!

19:00 - widmore the newb doesnt recognize faraday from the 50s. loser.
CB Note: That's cause Widmore didn't see Faraday in the 50s, he saw Locke, Juliet, and Sawyer.
RK Note: Ditto CB. Only Ellie saw Faraday in the 50s.

20:00 - cool scene of john taking richard to save john after he got shot. i wish i remembered that scene to see if richard told john who told richard to be there. pretty awesome. also, cb is loving that all this amazing stuff that john was able to convince richard was all just stuff john already knew or did. its the self fulfilling john is the special leader prophecy.
CB Note: So awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the full circle-ness of everything on Lost. It is really interesting to try to figure out the linearity of it all and why they're doing all this. Like, at first, Locke didnt know what to do, but Richard came and told him that he's going to have to get everyone back to the island and die to do so, so he, and we, believed it thinking Richard knew everything. But really Locke told him what to tell Locke, because that's what already happened to him! But Widmore also told Locke (when he saw him after Locke left the island) that this was what had to be done, so is that the reason that Locke knows to tell Richard to tell Locke to bring them all back!?
RK Note: SO CIRCULAR, I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A self-fulfilling time loop! And maybe John is only thinking he's the Others' special leader because he told the Others he was in the past, and so in the future he thinks he is, but then he tells everyone he is, so he's only the special leader because he said he was!

21:00 - and cb mentions the compass that john wants richard to give to john so john can give it to richard in the 50s. L.O.L.

RK Note: John totally is spot on!

CB Note: Yea I figured it was something like this but still awwwww for Miles realizing it!
RK Note: Yay, we called this! I knew Dr Chang was a good daddy after all!!!! So happy Miles had the chance to realize it.

32:00 - it would be kind of ironic if they all died except jawyer, who get off via sub, bet on the Cowboys, and live happily ever after.
RK Note: I am SO rooting for this to happen! How awesome would it be, in theory, for Sawliet to be able to go right back to 1977 and know the future and thus profit off of it? They could live so happily ever after!

CB Note: I know, very confusing! Who is Richard?! He is really anxious about bringing Locke to Jacob. Is he Jacob himself?
RK Note: SO INTERESTING, we are seeing shades of Richard we've never seen before... We know he's sort of bad because we saw him recruit Ben and initiate the Dharma purge and mass murder, but lately I've seen him as someone good who has answers and is peaceful and is an advisor and guide. But WHAT is going on here. Is Jacob a total hoax, like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz? And so Ben DID try to kill John so he'd never come back, which I think John well knows and he's keeping Ben on a short leash. Locke might be dead ANYWAY, re: my earlier hypothesis.

37:00 - and jacob talked to john last time he went to see jacob.
CB Note: Well, Christian did.
RK Note: Right, IS Christian Jacob? Is Locke now the new Christian and the new Jacob? Maybe Locke was ALWAYS Jacob? WHO is Richard Alpert and WHY does he not age!

RK Note: How about Locke admitting to Ben that he lied to SUn about helping find Jin and revealed he wasn't interested in reuniting with the Losties at all?!?! What kind of monster has Locke come back as?!?!? he has his OWN agenda and is being a little cruel to poor Sun!

and, whoa next week is the season finale!!! this season was just ridic amazing.
