1:00 - what terrible timing on this phone call to sun! its like a perfectly timed walk in, even faker.
RK Note: Why would Sun ever go to the island and leave her baby behind? What kind of mother is she??! I'm so glad nothing happened to the baby, but how could Sun ever abandon her?!?!?!

2:00 - caryn wonders if sun is kidnapping aaron? im not sure. that would be so ridiculous, right?
RK Note: Definitely not. But why is she maybe possibly working for or with Widmore? Just to kill Ben for revenge on Jin, or is there something more? And also, if Jin were dead, it would be WAY more Widmore's fault than Ben's anyway!
CB Note: Sun said on the phone to her daughter that she "met a new friend for her" talking about Aaron. All I said was that sounded like an odd statement, like was she planning on bringing Aaron back with her.

3:00 - hows he gonna prove it?! and... if its been 3 years... and some of them saw locke, why didn't she get to find out before?
RK Note: Remind me who saw Locke off the island alive and when and how?
CB Note: We know that Locke went to see Walt, Hurley, Kate, and Jack. And we know that Ben went to see Locke.

4:00 - hey, its the numbers! think theyll ever explain that?
RK Note: They better. I like how they brought back Season 1 goodies this ep, like Rousseau and the Black Smoke Monster and the Numbers

5:00 - umm. if he knows how to get from here to the tower, and he knows how to get from the tower to the camp... lets put it this way: a->b, b->c, therefore, a->c
RK Note: Also how come sometimes Jin understands english perfectly and other times, not so much, like they have to draw pictures in the sand for him
CB Note: All the english Jin learned came from being on the island, either Sun trying to teach him or him picking it up from hearing others. So he doesn't understand everything perfectly, and I'd imagine when he's sort of freaking out, it must get more confusing to try to piece together what people are saying. Also, the island is large and confusing, so I wouldn't get annoyed with Jin initially saying he doesn't know how to get back to his camp from the exact spot their in. If the tower is in the center of the island, then no matter where Jin is, he can figure out how to get there and once he's there, he can figure out his way back to his camp more easily. Also, the french guys were pushing him to show them, so that's why he agreed, not because there was no other way to find his camp.

6:00 - fyi - faraday tells them they cant change things in the past. but it sure seems like jin is gonna change a lot if he doesnt flash out of there?!
RK Note: Or was it already this way back in 1988 and Jin had already helped to save Rousseau back in time!
CB Note: I was gonna say what RK did.

7:00 - nice! caryn and i both nutted black smoke, before jin confirmed "monster".
RK Note: HOW can this black smoke monster be explained? I'm glad they brought it back, which means eventually they have to explain it to us.

8:00 - wheres the black smoke taking him? its lair?
RK Note: How come black smoke monster only rears its head so sporadically, especially when new ppl come to the island and run into it?
CB Note: This is similar to when the black smoke tried to take John. It tried to pull him down a hole too.

9:00 - of note, remember the fence around the dharma camp a season or 2 ago was used to keep the black smoke monster out i think. so dharma needed protection against it i think. did the others too? or is it on the others side?
RK Note: That fence was awesome. I also wonder to all of your questions at 9:00, excellent questions.

10:00 - that place looks like some kind of old stone temple... maybe the people who built the giant foot with 4 toes circa season 1 or 2? (that sure never got explained!)
RK Note: Great nut! AND is Jacob involved with them? Is Richard Alpert as old as them and an original native?
CB Note: The temple was also mentioned by Ben in the past when his people were being attacked by the Kahana soldiers. He tried to send Alex there, saying it was the only safe place left on the island.

11:00 - that arm woulda decomposed i say!!
CB Note: It was only a little decomposed cause it was only a short while later =p

12:00 - do the dew, jin!

13:00 - oh - totally random, a time travel ting i thought of 2 weeks ago or a week ago, when sawyer saw kate and claire - how awesome would it have been if in season 1 like sawyer walked in on it, and then kate made some comment an ep later about it but he seemed confused then they just ignored it for 5 seasons and THEN we see that scene with it being future sawyer who walked in? that woulda been AWESOME.

14:00 - wheres jin at? hey, mr rousseau called it a temple too! super small time jump this time. amazing seeing this crazy doublecross against danielle, by everyone who went in the temple, who apparently became bad guys, or evil smoke people, or who knows what. are the others part of the group that built and used the temple, or did the others come after the real natives?
RK Note: Wow, when Danielle said her people got sick... who knew the black smoke monster was responsible!! Also, we know from the pillar of smoke that this was the night she gave birth and the Others took away her baby Alex! Anyone else pick up on that? When I saw the pillar of smoke I nutted that btw, either the other night of the pillar of smoke with Claire.
CB Note: I said that to Justin when we were watching, but of course he doesn't choose to include anything good I might say while he blogs! The pillar of smoke appeared before the Others came and took Alex, a week after her birth. It appeared again after Claire had Aaron and Danielle freaked out and tried to bring Aaron to try to exchange him for Alex.

15:00 - caryn says we knew charlotte spoke korean, lol.
RK Note: Of course we knew that!

16:00 - looks like they're not gonna be back in 72 hours at this rate!
CB Note: It was 70 hours, not 72.

17:00 - creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy. charlotte maybe dead, then shouting at jin in korean, then calling this place death and telling them not to bring sun back! what will jin do? will he try to stop locke? is there significance to the "this place is death" line? and that temple? and, does charlotte know anything else that hasn't been revealed to us yet, part of her past? so far, she hasn't really done anything useful, we don't know why shes there, not like faraday.
RK Note: OMG did I somehow not tell you Arielle's awesome nut from last week? Arielle nutted that Charlotte was the little girl on the island Ben was friends with in Dharma.
CB Note: We nutted that too. (Me before J tho) Also, we don't know if Faraday really was there in the past, or will go back in time to little girl Charlotte after an island flashes them back in time, or if he's sort of like a never-aging Richard (since he looked pretty much the same when Desmond went to see him in the past, and we've seen him with the Dharma peeps, we dont know his deal yet). A further also, Charlotte said "don't being HER back" so technically she could mean their daughter, instead of Sun.

18:00 - lot of traffic in the middle of the nite ben?

19:00 - whats ben done to keep them all safe? or is he just lying and being trixxy?

20:00 - ancient carthage! so, a) shes floating through time in her own head now. b) what was that marrying an american comment about? c) thats why charlottes there - her archaeology anthropology - that carthage line was important i think - shes there to study that ancient society that built the temple! and the big foot!
RK Note: What IS that marrying American comment about? Also I think she might be there more to study the island of her childhood, but maybe also the ancient society of the foot. But I think mostly Dharma because when she found that polar bear in the desert with the Dharma tag she was all thrilled.
CB Note: Carthage was located in what is modern-day Tunisia, where Charlotte was doing field work before being recruited to the Kahana's mission.

31:00 - jinx!

32:00 - after it vanished, i said "look for the well!" -> nut nut nutteroo.
CB Note: Not a nut. Charlotte told him to look for the well. You can't nut something that was specifically said 1 minute earlier on the show!

33:00 - good question miles. how did she know?

34:00 - why did ben shoot charlotte last season?
CB Note: Because she was one of the people from Widmore's boat who he believed wanted to capture him.

35:00 - as soon as charlotte started talking, that she grew up on the island, im all "pause pause pause wheres the remote" b/c im workin through a nut in my head, and caryn is whispering "annie annie" excitedly. and we finally pause it and im like "baby, who is annie? is that ben little girlfriend from the island? thats who i bet she is!!!"
RK Note: I can't believe I didn't tell you about Arielle's nut of this last week!!!

36:00 - ok, we just hit play - lets see who she was!

37:00 - whoa, what scary man told charlotte shed have to leave and never come back, otherwise she'd die??

38:00 - omg it was faraday!!!!!! (caryn didnt say it, but she's saying she was gonna and wants it counted as a nut. we'll leave it to a vote!)
RK Note: He totally must have told her when in the future he goes back in time posing as a Dharma member to try and save her. But it so doesn't work because you can't change the past or something! Charlotte's gonna die anyway! Not like Heroes with alternate futures. I like it better when there are rules with time travel like in Lost. Maybe Dan is crazy in the future because of too much time travel and thats why he scares little Char? Or is he just crazy as he is to a little kid?

39:00 - how does faraday tell young charlotte this? do they flash back in time and he sees her and tells her not to come back? wouldnt that muck up the you cant change things, thing? i suppose hes gonna tell her around the time we saw him in that episode when he was wearing a dharma uniform at the orchid...

40:00 - i cant remember much about bens little gf, but caryn told me that we dont know what happened to her.
RK Note: Apparently she left the island with her mom before Ben killed them all! When she was 9 I think she said. Also did I tell you guys how I think Widmore is Faraday's dad? I wonder who Charlotte's dad is.

41:00 - um, what if he had his fingers crossed?

42:00 - so - caryn and i both think the ring will be the proof hes alive. plus, why would ben and locke not just lie.

47:00 - so, is charlotte really dead? if so, im kinda upset. she never really did anything important....

53:00 - who is it?! i went with jacob, cb went richard. frankly, i think i kinda win... NUT NUT NUT!

RK Note: Remind me about Bentham? Will Ben wind up in Tunisia? Also, Ben is going to need to land 3 years in the future!!!

58:00 - is the crazy time stuff bc the wheel slipped off its axis? so now that john fixed it no more time travel?
RK Note: I hope its that simple, or else everyone is gonna die like Charlotte!! I'm so happy John turned the wheel back right! Also, why does this have to involve John dying?

RK Note: Um ok, how did you not mention how Jacob was all "Say hi to my son!" right before the flash of light?!?!?!!!! WHO IS JACOB'S SON??????????? ANYONE? ANYONE?
JN Note: ok. this warrants commenting. my initial reaction was that "well duh he's talking about jack, b/c he's appearing as christian (jack's dad) atm. but, i suppose it is possible that in fact jacob himself has a son. if thats the case though, i dont see how it could be any of the Losties b/c we know all of their parents already.
CB Note: When Locke went to see Jacob in the cabin and Christian was there, he said that he was not Jacob, but could speak on his behalf. So if we go on that, it's still Christian, and his son is Jack.

RK Note: Desmond! How fortuitous! He PROMISED Penny he'd never go back to the island, he better keep to that promise and not be a damn fool!!! Also really, he didn't even need to go on this journey because Ben and Co are there to save the islanders anyway.
CB Note: But Des didn't know that. And I'm sure he has a part to play still. Also, it would seem he doesn't have to go back to the Island, cause they keep talking about the 6 needing to come back, but does Des have to also?
