Heroes Feb 9 Volume 4 Ep 2

i thought since i started blogging lost i wouldnt have to blog this atrocious terrible horrendous horrific hideous catastrophically awful show...?
LB Note: I thought we made it very clear that this logic was simply incorrect. You will continue to blog Heroes until we say so!

1:00 - this scene of him freezing open the plane and them getting to crash was terrible last week. what made them think it was gonna be any better to watch this week?
LB Note: OMG Why did they have to repeat so much? I was getting so annoyed. Fortunately I was slightly delayed so I FFd a lot of it.

2:00 - frankly, i wish it was 43 hours later for me right now.

3:00 - where'd all those guys with guns chasing hiro come from? they sure as hell weren't on the plane when claire "i have no useful offensive powers" bennett miraculously freed everyone...

4:00 - amazing! parkman randomly went into painting trance! hes using his total new and random power! how terribly contrived and awful storytelling. lets recycle MORE plots!
LB Note: This part made NO sense. The Isaac power did not involve like walking around to seek out paper to draw. Absurd.

5:00 - if i was peter, i would just pwn them all... seeing as how id have the powers of like 10 different heroes now!

6:00 - those computer grafix explosions are as fake and bad as if i were playing a game on my PS1 in 1998...

7:00 - uh oh, it only took an episode and 7 minutes for nathan to have a falling out with Evil Defense Department / Counterterrorist Guy (tm). whats the over/under on how many times nathan changes sides this season? ill make it 3, who is taking what action?

8:00 - as parkman draws, let me just stress again that recycling this plot device for the 4th time on the 4th different character is PATHETIC.
CB Note: They totally regret killing isaac mendez. This was always one of the cooler tricks.
LB Note: They are sooo sad that they killed Isaac. They should get Hiro to go back in time at some point and prevent him from dying so he can still draw.

9:00 - is he gonna supercharge her and they will run to arkansas from japan? that'll work...
CB Note: She was always able to run from place to place, even without being supercharged...don't you remember when we first met her? Stealing the formula from Hiro in Japan and running to Arthur back in the states?
LB Note: She can walk over water just like Jesus!

10:00 - save yourself masi oka! listen to mohinder. get off this terrible show!!!

11:00 - india?! are they gonna reopen the mohinder's family storyline?
CB Note: Oh let's hope not!!!!
LB Note: I think Mohinder will win 20 million Rupees on the Indian version of Who wants to Be a Millionaire?! and be accused of cheating and then through his interrogation we will learn his life story and how he came to know all of the answers...oh...wait...

12:00 - new characters oh boy!!!
CB Note: Well let's think about it, are we really loving the old characters at this moment? I'll take some new blood over Claire and Peter right about now

13:00 - did anyone not see that "them in front of you" line coming? oh well, at least 1 hero is still cool.

14:00 - in great news its actually 9:23, so, 1/3 of the way through!

24:00 - i just checked with cb to make sure they were in japan... so they DID run across the pacific ocean!

25:00 - and omg daph just mentioned that ando will kill hiro in the future. a) didn't we go over this in the finale, how hiro misinterpreted it? and b) hasn't that future been averted, like all the other futures? love me some time travel inconsistency, that's for sure!
CB Note: Yea, this isn't Lost with it's linear time travel and not being able to change things! They def should have averted that future (tho I blocked out most of last season)
LB Note: This was by far one of the dumbest scenes ever. "Right. I kill Hiro in the future. So he's still alive!" Um..someone please kill them both.


26:00 - i went to put away some clothes, but gosh, ali and peter sure tricked those dumb guys good!

27:00 - did peter just try to explain his new less cool power about getting a new one and losing an old one? really, they've just decided to change peter's powers now? guess mohinds should fix that formula huh. and no wonder he has to touch now! and... way to make your 2nd coolest character (ignoring his batman level grunting skills) less cool!
CB Note: This is quite the disappointment. Peter is supposed to be the anti-Sylar. Each being able to take powers and accumulate them to be super cool. What's having one power at a time good for?? Guess that explains why he couldn't fly out of the plane.
LB Note: They totally made this up in order to not have him be able to fly out of the plane. Very silly.


28:00 - good one claire - how could these 2 idiots expect you to just go to college and ignore everything? they're supposed to be smart, at least HRG is, instead of amazingly dumb! oh well, at least we have the new nickname Senator Skyboy. its almost as good as Mailman Mellin.

29:00 - HRG alluded to a secret plan to claire. and HRG doesn't like Defense guy. i wonder if HRG and nathan are planning a gigantic double cross?
CB Note: Nathan's who started the whole thing, what would be his endgame if he wants to double cross his own plan??? I think he just doesn't want his own family to be killed, and he can only trust HRG to not kill them. Hopefully HRG has a secret plan though that makes him more than a dumbdumb always following orders.
LB Note: HRG is always motivated by protecting Clare and his family. Nathan's motivation to stop people from having powers will still be there always. He just doesn't want to kill Peter.

30:00 - so.. this scene looks exciting. daph just got nutted from behind. let me say, right now, if they kill one of the few likable characters with personality.... now there's a big firefight! i wonder who is gonna pwn who?! the guys with guns or the heroes!!

31:00 - "smart move parkman!" - cb. good thing none of the 4 guys with automatic guns decided to shoot the guy crouching still, but instead kept shooting the 2 apparently dead girls?
CB Note: Smart move was about Parkman using his brain skills to make them shoot at each other. Too bad he's so slow about it.

32:00 - this show is so good, that even though cb is making me watch it, she is rifling through Rolling Stone, where we were just treated to a picture of naked amy winehouse, whose nipples were barely blurred, leaving her mellins still totally exposed...
CB Note: I admit that I may not have been giving my full attention to heroes...but tidying up and paging through a couple magazines seemed a lot more productive!
LB Note: her mellins...hahahahahah


33:00 - coincidence that sylar was at the house of somebody with a power? is that why he brought agent simmons there? and it kinda sucks that luke only managed to attack a tea cup?
LB Note: They're prolly related somehow or somehow connected to Sylar's real dad. Isn't this the address that the watchmaker sent him to?

34:00 - predictions now: sylar kills him, or takes him under his wing, like a robin to sylar's batman, or a Casio to Sylar's Rolex?
LB Note: See, the problem with your "prediction" is that you covered both of the obvious possibilities. Either killing him or takign him as a protegee. This is Sylar. That's like saying Prediction: Either x, or not x. NO NUT CREDIT FOR 34:00.

35:00 - i was supposed to feel tension during that hrg-nathan-claire-badguy scene. instead i thought it was funny and bad. this show is like an old dog that cant walk to the kitchen to eat, and spends all day on the couch in the den peeing on the pillows. somebody just take it to the vet and put it out of its misery...

36:00 - hey, did we resolve whether daph is dead yet? and, could that liberators line have been any dumber?
CB Note: I thought you'd like that as a little Iraqi joke.

37:00 - how could ali be so dumb to trust nathan?
CB Note: Cause they have not for one second made ANY of Ali's characters smart OR cool.

38:00 - terrible news: we are out of house reruns, and there's only 1 on wed and 1 on thurs!!

39:00 - fyi: i was gonna call him the burner, but cb totally nutted that hes.. The Microwaver! or, as my dad would call him, The Nuker!

40:00 - btw, this guy is sylar's brother or half brother. inherited a power, and is sociopathic, and his dad left. im bankin' on it.
CB note: He also knows exactly where Sylar's dad is, so that can't be a coincidence (or perhaps its just bad writing).

41:00 - i guess luke will be sylar's protege. and, mom, i don't really think that half dead agent was gonna stop sylar, duh. also, little heavy with the clock ticking sound effects there guys... i miss the subtle days of micah's theme song.
CB Note: Why did they just completely drop Micah and his cousin's storyline????

42:00 - good movies and shows need good villains. maybe part of the reason season 1 was good and the last 2 sucked is bc sylar is actually a good villain? that was the amazing thing about Independence Day - no villain really but total pwnage!
CB Note: So those aliens that wanted to kill us weren't villains?

43:00 - guys, it turns out cb may not like cilantro b/c she has the "hate cilantro" gene!
CB Note: I moved on to Bon Appetit at this point...

44:00 - cb just asked me whose side tracy is on. i think we can count on ali to make the wrong decision, as a general rule.

45:00 - peter blew his load early, i guess we'll never get to find out.

46:00 - it's a good thing for peter none of the other 10 guys with laser targeted super weapons decided to aim at him, and only hrg did!
LB Note: I don't understand how HRG can plausibly lie and say he didn't have a clear shot. You could see the red point of light on Peter. It's all very confusing.


54:00 - so, did peter fly around and find them, or did they all find magically conjure cell phones? the writers didn't even TRY to explain that one... they've given up, much like i have. at least there's that we can agree on!

55:00 - parkman's pissed... kinda sounds like daph is really dead. SIGH. AT. THIS. SHOW.

56:00 - peter is like the rebel general! good thing he trained as an EMT! yea, rock music, im pumped! do do do do do do do do do yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

57:00 - who is more clueless? claire's mom? or the writers?

58:00 - oh man, an anonoymous rebel got claire's cell phone and texted her secret rebel messages!!! this is totally like Episode IV: A New Hope!!

LB Note: Perhaps it's Microwave boy and that's Clare's new love interest...


59:00 - do you think the actors know the show is terrible now?

60:00 - how exciting, a cliff hanger! to be continued! cb voices everyone's concern - is a TBC really necessary for a serial drama?

can we quit this yet? i feel like we are suffering from BWS... (3 points to whoever guesses what it stands for!!)
