1:00 - hey, didnt they already flash off this plane? whats going on?
2:00 - ummm. it changed from day to nite.... so the Losties flashed off the plane into wherever the Time travelers are, and everyone else stayed in present day maybe? i still dont understand the time change... maybe the plane flashed with them, and it was daytime after the flash. but these people shouldnt be able to flash.
CB Note: Maybe even though they didnt time-flash, the Island obviously is like, in a bubble of it's own in a way. Maybe that's why people can't see it from a certain distance. Just like when the island disappeared, a certain area surrounding it also went with them (explaining why Faraday on the boat and Jin in the water were taken along for the ride as well) while the people in the helicopter maybe were outside that "bubble." And so, maybe the time of day changing was just them entering into the island "bubble"
3:00 - omg sun is still there?! cb yelled nut! i dunno why. why didnt she flash? wtf.
RK Note: It's a NUT because we so CALLED it ages ago that sun was "the woman" that went off in the canoe in 2007 time, so we already thought sun didn't flash.
CB Note: Exactly, I told you it was Sun! I still dont get why she didnt flash tho.
4:00 - cb is babbling about something about how ben looks. i dont understand. i cant remember back 3-4 weeks ago. if its not from Ice and Fire, i dont know it. also, did ben look freaked out that sun was still there? i thought he was.
CB Note: I was babbling about the fact that when we last saw him, he was passed out in the little infirmary that they set up (when Condolences guy brought Locke to see him). But in this ep, he was fine!
5:00 - mmm, frosted mini wheats.
RK Note: OK I'm sorry but your blog this week leaves a lot to be desired, how can I possibly comment and elaborate on your entries when its totally unclear what you are talking about

6:00 - 30 years earlier! at least i nutted that the flashed out, and everyone else stayed. still, why did it change from nite to day to the nontime traveling plane?
RK Note: Really, was that a nut? Because the rest of us thought it was completely obvious that the rest of the plane wreck was in the present/future and the flashed-off ppl were in 1977.

7:00 - cb is mushing at this reunion. she's cuddling Hammy.
RK Note: You didn't even mention how that RUNWAY was there!!! Remember the Others were building a runway back when they were holding Kate and Sawyer hostage in those animal cages?! SO-- were the Others building it to just make a runway? Or were they building it because Ben knew that in the future they would need it to land the plane Ben would take back to the island?!?!?!! Are all of Ben's actions guided by some knowledge he has of the future? And if so what does he know? And who finished building the runway? The Others could have finished it off-camera at some point.
JN Note: oh this was interesting. of course i didnt remember they were building a runway. duh. Ben would have known to build a runway for that plane bc a Losty would tell his past self...?
CB Note: RK, haven't you realized that by the middle of one episode, J can't even remember what happened at the beginning? He's notoriously horrible at remembering anything in the past, making him incapable of the really fun nuts.
8:00 - i knew hurley was about to deliver a one liner when sawyer revealed it was 1970something. however, i thought it would be lame. hurley delivered it good, so ill take a raisin.
RK Note: Again, if you don't repeat whatever was said, how can I comment on it?!
CB Note: I also have no clue what this awesome one liner was, so cannot make a good comment. I will however give you your raisin.

CB Note: Russian guy? As in the guy who worked with Ben in the future (2000s)? Which would make him an Other? And most certainly not around in a DHARMA station in 1977?
11:00 - a sub coming in? is sawyer gonna try to send them away? that doesnt make sense.
12:00 - this doesnt quite look like the guy i was remembering. although its definitely the place. so, half a nut.

RK Note: Now THAT was a good one! This raises a LOT of interesting issues-- because clearly now we know Ethan was born in the Dharma Initiative, not born an Other/Hostile-- so we now know that someone besides Ben survived the Purge of Dharma, and went on to join the Others. How? Why? When? Ethan is clearly a good 10 years younger than Ben, we now know, which means he must have survived the purge as a child...
JN Note: I didn't think of this at the time either. Could ethan being born to Dessler have anything to do with that Hostile trying to kill her when Sawyer saved her?
CB Note: Considering the hostile was trying to kill her 3 years before Ethan was born . . .

RK Note: I LOVE IT. NOW-- how about the theory we discussed of Miles being Pierre Chang's son? Could this still be possible? let's figure miles is only in his mid-to-late-twenties. Could it be possible that Miles hasn't been born yet 30 years ago in 1977, and that guy is his dad, and he is still to be born on the island, later? But somehow left the island as a child before the Purge, but doesn't remember living on the island because he was a baby? And doesn't remember Pierre Chang was his dad because he stayed on the island and died in the purge? So right now adult Miles is MEETING HIS FATHER BEFORE HE IS BORN? You heard it here first.
CB Note: Miles not remembering anything about the island would make it seem that they left the island before he was say, 3. The purge didn't happen til 1992, so it would appear the Chang was long gone by then. Perhaps he was just there through the forming years of DHARMA, while they were still building stations. As to when Miles was born, we know that he was a newborn at the same time that Faraday was working on the Orchid station. Since it's been alluded that Faraday is no longer with them at DHARMA...that would have happened already.

RK Note: OK remember Radzinsky? I THINK he was the guy who was pushing buttons in the cabin before Desmond got there!! I'm not sure how he went from being a Dharma guy who knew the deal with the Dharma initiative to being obsessed with pushing buttons and staying in the Hatch, but maybe it had something to do with the Purge-- maybe he survived the Purge because he was in the Hatch at the time, but then thought it was never safe to go out again because the air was toxic because on the TV monitors or something he saw all of Dharma get gassed to death.
JN Note: Huh? this dude was in the hatch before Desmond???
CB Note: Oh boy. The Swan station IS the "hatch" with the button needing to be pushed. Radzinsky IS the person who was in the hatch before Desmond. When Desmond arrived to the island, he met Radzinsky's partner, who brought him to the hatch and told Desmond that Radzinsky committed suicide. I had the same thoughts about him being in the Swan during the purge.

RK Note: THIS IS SO WEIRD. I can't wait until its explained how Christian is the ghost/Jacob and how the hell this works and makes any sense.
51:00 - HAHA christian went and got the 1977 Dharma Yearbook picture. also... hes interacting with objects in the real world (he lifte dthe picture) so thats not very ghostlike.
RK Note: Time travel conundrum!! SOOOOO back when Sawyer, Locke, Claire, etc, were all living in the Dharma houses before the freighter soldiers came and made a wreck out of it, was this picture ON THE WALL with KATE, SAWYER, JACK, ETC IN IT???? Or did the photo not yet have their pictures in it because it hadn't happened yet? Or did the photo ALWAYS have their pictures in it because time is a loop that cannot be changed?!
JN Note: This picture would have always been on that wall. That's the rule of LOST time travel. I think there are multilpe Dharma villages. This one is on the water. The one where are Losties live is in the middle of the island near that hill with the fence. The people who came in on the submarine had to get driven to the camp in 1977 i think. On the other hand, When all the Losties were living with others they lived near teh submarine dock, b/c Locke exploded it by sneaking outside. I think that was just a different place than where Sawyer/Claire/Locke were staying. This is the village where Michael/Walt got taken. The explosion blowing up the sub by locke would also explain how the pier looked kind of run down when Frank and Sun arrived. Or, Maybe our Losties just never went in that particular building.
CB Note: I agree that your colors are way to close to each other to be next to one another. J, you should go a shade darker. I don't think it's a different village, but we also don't know who's house it was. Maybe it was Ben's and he knew all of this was going to happen.

Rk Note: OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I can't believe they ARE going to let us have the young Ben interactions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess they don't kill him in the past because we know he lives in the future, right? Seems like young Ben always had a thing for the Others/Hostiles...
